Bonjour Tristesse

Cécile (Lily McInerny) is eighteen, spending the summer at a seaside house in France with her father Raymond (Claes Bang) and falling for a new boyfriend, Cyril (Aliocha Schneider). Then Anne (Chloë Sevigny), a friend of her late mother, arrives and the easy days begin to shift. Durga Chew-Bose adapts Françoise Sagan's novel to show a girl learning that the freedom she loves has always depended on how few people she has had to answer to.
