Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, as Stanley MacLaurel (Stan Laurel) and Ollie (Oliver Hardy), cross to Scotland as stowaways, sure they are about to inherit the MacLaurel estate. James W. Horne follows them as the inheritance goes sideways and they sign up with the Scottish army, which ships them to British India. Sergeant Major Finlayson (James Finlayson) is waiting there, and everything the two men own is now on the line.
