“The next chapter is always the best.”

Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen) have been friends for decades and have met every month for years to talk over a novel. Then Vivian picks Fifty Shades of Grey, and each woman starts looking at her own love life, with Mitchell (Andy Garcia) among the men who come into view. Bill Holderman's film is about the idea that wanting more from life does not expire with age.
