“Slightly scandalous. Totally fabulous.”

Diane (Diane Keaton), Vivian (Jane Fonda), Sharon (Candice Bergen) and Carol (Mary Steenburgen) have been reading books together for decades, and they finally take the club to Italy for the girls' trip they never got to have. Bill Holderman sends them across the country, and a quiet holiday turns into a cross-country adventure once secrets come out. Each woman is still getting used to being the lead in her own story.
