In December 1971, at the Longewala post in the Rajasthan desert, Major Kuldip Singh Chandpuri (Sunny Deol) commands 120 Indian soldiers with no tanks of their own. Two thousand Pakistani troops are advancing on them with armor, and J. P. Dutta, working from the true events of the Battle of Longewala, keeps the story inside a single night. Chandpuri has until morning to hold a post his men cannot leave.
