“The Shame of Two Nations!”

Migrant workers keep slipping across the Mexican border into California, and someone is moving them for money. Two agents, Pablo Rodriguez (Ricardo Montalban) of the Mexican federal police and Jack Bearnes (George Murphy) of the American side, go undercover to stop it, with Pablo posing as a poor laborer. Anthony Mann puts Pablo on the same road as the men he has to protect, and every step he takes costs him a little more of his cover.
