Bordertown

“Lies. Corruption. Murder. One reporter will break the silence.”

Lauren Adrian (Jennifer Lopez) is a Chicago Sentinel reporter who wants a posting on the front lines in Iraq. Her editor, George Morgan (Martin Sheen), sends her to a Mexican bordertown instead, to look into the killings of young women who work the maquiladora assembly lines. Gregory Nava puts her among the long shifts and low wages, where the women's lives are already hard and the answers could cost Lauren her own safety.
