Born in East L.A.

“A comedy bordering on insanity.”

In 1987 East Los Angeles, Rudy Robles (Cheech Marin) is a third-generation American who gets caught in an immigration raid at a factory without his wallet or his ID. Because he looks the part, the officers put him on a bus and deport him to Tijuana, where he speaks no Spanish. Cheech Marin, directing for the first time, follows Rudy as he scrambles for money and a way home, a man who has never been anywhere but Los Angeles.
