Born on the Fourth of July

Ron Kovic (Tom Cruise) grows up believing in the country he was born into, and he wants to prove it by enlisting for Vietnam. Oliver Stone follows him from a small-town childhood through the war that leaves him paralyzed, then home to a world that no longer matches what he was promised. The hardest ground is the Kovic house, where Mrs. Kovic (Caroline Kava) and Mr. Kovic (Raymond J. Barry) still see the boy who left.
