Born to Be Wild

“What do you do when your best friend's a 400-pound gorilla? Anything she likes.”

Why would a gorilla who talks in sign language end up caged at a flea market? Rick Heller (Wil Horneff) is a boy who keeps landing in trouble, and his mother, Margaret (Helen Shaver), sets him to cleaning the cage of Katie, the gorilla she is teaching to sign. John Gray follows Rick as he breaks Katie out and sets off to get her out of the country, a boy and a gorilla on the road together.
