Bottoms

“A movie about empowering women (the hot ones).”

At a high school where the football team gets the glory and the hallways belong to the popular kids, best friends PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri) are unpopular seniors who want to meet girls and lose their virginity. Their plan is a self-defense club, and it fills up fast with students who start throwing real punches. Emma Seligman plays all of it with a completely straight face, and the film keeps asking how much of high school is a fight club already.
