“An epic story of three brothers. Bound by blood. Divided by fate. Driven by destiny.”

Miklo (Damian Chapa) is the bi-racial cousin in a trio of East L.A. relatives who run with the Vatos Locos gang in 1972. Taylor Hackford follows him and half-brothers Cruz (Jesse Borrego) and Paco (Benjamin Bratt) across twelve years, as a violent crime sends each of them down a different road. Blood ties hold them together at the start, and they spend the rest of the film pulling at each other.
