Boy

A family of four travels from town to town on a living that comes from being hit by cars. The Father (Fumio Watanabe) and the Stepmother (Akiko Koyama) stage the accidents, and the Boy (Tetsuo Abe) is sent out in front of the traffic to take the blow. Ōshima keeps his focus on the Boy, who learns the work early and is never asked what he thinks of it.
