Boy A

“Who decides who gets a second chance?”

Released after fourteen years in a young offender institution, Jack Burridge (Andrew Garfield) gets a new name, a flat in Manchester and a job as a deliveryman, with his caseworker Terry (Peter Mullan) checking in. John Crowley follows him through the first ordinary things he has been denied, a day's work, a coworker's attention. He starts seeing Michelle (Katie Lyons), and she knows nothing about him, so every kindness between them rests on a lie.
