Boy & the World

“Some dreams survive.”

Nobody tells the boy why his father got on the train and left, so he follows. Leaving his village, he finds a city of bug-engines and strange beings, a place that hums and swarms and shows him one stranger sight after another. Alê Abreu mixes pencil drawing, paint and digital animation as the world opens up around the boy, who is small and alone and keeps walking.
