“this trip may have no return”

Neto (Rodrigo Santoro) is a middle-class teenager with an ordinary life until his father (Othon Bastos) finds a marijuana cigarette in his pocket. He is sent to a psychiatric hospital, where the staff, the locked wards and the routine of the place turn out to be crueler than anything he knew at home. Laís Bodanzky, working from Austregésilo Carrano Bueno's memoir, follows Neto as he tries to hold on to who he was before he walked in.
