Brancaleone at the Crusades

Brancaleone Da Norcia (Vittorio Gassman) pulls a baby of royal blood out of danger, gathers a new ragged army around him, and sets off for the Crusades to hand the child to his father. Mario Monicelli sends this crew of misfits trudging toward the Holy Land with Brancaleone shouting orders at men who barely listen. The road is long, the knight's luck is thin, and a prince's heir rides on the word of someone who cannot keep his own band in line.
