Brand Upon the Brain!

Guy Maddin (Erik Steffen Maahs) goes back to the island where he grew up, summoned by a mother he has not spoken to in years who wants him at her deathbed. His boyhood was spent in the orphanage his parents ran, and the memories he comes back to are the ones that never left him. Guy Maddin shot it silent in Seattle with local actors, and if he cannot face what happened there, it will keep its hold on him.
