Brannigan

“Big Jim Brannigan takes on London - Chicago Style !”

Lt. Jim Brannigan (John Wayne) is a Chicago cop who handles his cases the way he always has, with his fists and a stubborn sense of right. He flies to London to collect an American mobster held for extradition, and finds Scotland Yard run on manners and procedure. Douglas Hickox sets Brannigan, in his Chicago ways, down among Commander Swann (Richard Attenborough) and a department that wants him to ease off.
