Brassed Off

“Fed up with the system. Ticked off at the establishment. And mad about... each other.”

Danny (Pete Postlethwaite) has one thing left to fight for. He wants the Grimley Colliery Brass Band to reach a national competition, even as the Yorkshire pit that employs most of them faces closure. Then Gloria (Tara Fitzgerald) walks in with her flugelhorn, and Andy Barrow (Ewan McGregor), who grew up beside her, finds the band is not the only thing she has come back to.
