“Change your fate.”

In the Scottish Highlands, King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson) rule the kingdom of DunBroch, and their daughter Merida (Kelly Macdonald) would rather shoot arrows than learn to be a princess. When she defies an old custom and refuses to be betrothed, she goes looking for a Wise Woman (Julie Walters) and gets the wish she asked for. Mark Andrews and Brenda Chapman animate the Highlands with thick forests and red-gold hair.
