“They're Back... For Everyone Who Believes In the Beat.”

Kelly (Lucinda Dickey) and her dance crew, Ozone (Adolfo Quinones) and Turbo (Michael Chambers) among them, learn that their neighborhood community center is slated for demolition. A developer wants a shopping center on the site, so the crew starts organizing to stop him. Sam Firstenberg treats the center as the one place where these kids can be heard, and the film argues, plainly, that a street corner and a dance floor are worth defending.
