“When it comes to getting dumped... he wrote the book.”

Quincy Watson (Jamie Foxx) gets dumped by his model girlfriend, quits his job, and writes a how-to book on breaking up that sells far better than he expected. Daniel Taplitz sends him into the middle of his cousin Evan's (Morris Chestnut) love life, where Evan's girlfriend Nikki (Gabrielle Union) soon figures out what the two of them are up to. The film treats the rules of dating as a game that everyone plays and nobody quite wins.
