Breaking Away

“The movie that tells you exactly what you can do with your high school diploma!”

Dave Stoller (Dennis Christopher) pedals hard through the streets of Bloomington, Indiana, singing Italian opera and answering his parents in an accent he picked up from racing videos. He has just graduated high school, and his friends Mike (Dennis Quaid), Cyril (Daniel Stern) and Moocher (Jackie Earle Haley) have no idea what comes next. Peter Yates leaves the four of them in the summer heat, Dave's bicycle leaning against the porch.
