Breaking Fast

“A Ramadan Rom-Com.”

West Hollywood, the first days of Ramadan, and Mo (Haaz Sleiman), a gay Muslim doctor, is still carrying the weight of a breakup with Hassan (Patrick Sabongui). Then Kal (Michael Cassidy), an easygoing newcomer, offers to break the fast with him at sundown. Mike Mosallam builds the film around those nightly iftars, where Mo and Kal start to trust each other one evening meal at a time.
