“Sue Buttons has one killer story”

In Yuba County, a small California town, Sue Buttons (Allison Janney) is a pencil-pusher no one notices until she walks in on her husband in bed with another woman and he dies of a heart attack on the spot. She buries him, and the attention that follows a missing man starts to feel like her own. Tate Taylor puts Sue and her sister Nancy (Mila Kunis), a local news anchor hungry for a real story, on opposite sides of a secret.
