Brian and Charles

“Some friendships are built to last.”

In a Welsh valley, Brian (David Earl) lives alone in a cottage, building oddball contraptions that seldom work. After finding a discarded mannequin head, he spends three days and a washing machine's worth of spare parts on Charles (Chris Hayward), a robot who learns English from a dictionary. Jim Archer keeps the camera at the cottage, where Charles pushes at the door and Brian stands behind him, hand on the frame.
