“Bollywood meets Hollywood… And it's a perfect match”

In Amritsar, Mrs. Bakshi has four unmarried daughters and a plan to see every one of them settled. Then a family friend brings the wealthy American Will Darcy (Martin Henderson) around, and Lalita Bakshi (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) takes against him on sight. Gurinder Chadha stages this Austen story with songs and dancing, and Lalita holds her opinion of Darcy with her chin up.
