Bridget Jones's Diary

“All women keep score... Only the great ones put it in writing.”

Why is Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger), 32 and single, so determined to write down every true thing that happens to her? It starts as a New Year's resolution, a diary kept without lies, while her charming boss Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant) takes notice and Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) keeps turning up at the worst moments. Sharon Maguire leaves the page open on Bridget's desk, the pen beside it, the first line still unwritten.
