Brief Crossing

One night on a ship, and two strangers end up in each other's company: Alice (Sarah Pratt), an Englishwoman older than he is, and Thomas (Gilles Guillain), a young Frenchman crossing the same water. Catherine Breillat keeps the story to the hours of the passage, from the first look between them to whatever the night allows. Thomas stands beside Alice at the rail, the ship carrying them both toward a morning neither has settled.
