Bright Lights, Big City

“It's 6.00 am. Do you know where you are?”

Jamie (Michael J. Fox) wants to be a writer, but by day he works a job in Manhattan and by night he chases the next drink and the next line, anything to keep the memory of his dead mother from catching up. His wife Amanda (Phoebe Cates) has left him. James Bridges follows Jamie through the city after dark, and what hangs over every night is how much he still wants Amanda, and how little he lets himself say it.
