Bright Star

“First love burns brightest.”

Fanny Brawne (Abbie Cornish) is a spirited young woman in 1818 who has never read any poetry until she picks up a book by John Keats (Ben Whishaw), the quiet poet living next door. He agrees to teach her, though he has no money and cannot marry. Jane Campion follows Fanny as she sews, reads and waits, and her devotion to a man she cannot have grows steadily more complete.
