Bringing Down the House

Peter Sanderson (Steve Martin) is a buttoned-up tax lawyer, recently divorced, who has started chatting with a fellow attorney in an online room. When they agree to meet, the woman at his door is Charlene Morton (Queen Latifah), an escaped convict who wants him to take her case and clear her name. Adam Shankman sets her loose in Peter's tidy suburban house, where she keeps talking and the neighbors keep staring.
