In 1938, the paleontologist David Huxley (Cary Grant) is waiting on one last bone to finish the skeleton in his museum. Then he meets Susan Vance (Katharine Hepburn), a scatterbrained heiress, and the bone is the least of his worries. Howard Hawks sends the two of them after a pet leopard named Baby, and David keeps trying to leave while Susan keeps finding reasons for him to stay.
