“Fury of the West's Most Lawless Feud!”

In Arizona, Matt Devereaux (Spencer Tracy) has built a cattle empire and runs it, and his household, with a hard hand. His sons circle the ranch and each other, among them Ben (Richard Widmark) and Joe (Robert Wagner), the one child of Matt's second marriage to Señora Devereaux (Katy Jurado). Edward Dmytryk sets the family against one another over a single question: who inherits the land.
