Brother

In 1997 Saint Petersburg, Danila Bagrov (Sergei Bodrov Jr.), a young ex-soldier, arrives to start a new life with his older brother, Viktor (Viktor Sukhorukov). Viktor is a contract killer in hiding, and he talks Danila into taking a job he cannot do himself, one that puts them against a Chechen mob boss. Aleksei Balabanov keeps Danila quiet and watchful, a young man in a grey city, with a Petersburg that looks as flat and worn as an old photograph.
