Brothers

“There are two sides to every family.”

Captain Sam Cahill (Tobey Maguire), a Marine deployed to Afghanistan, wants to come home to his wife Grace (Natalie Portman) and their children. When his helicopter crashes and he is captured by the Taliban, his younger brother Tommy (Jake Gyllenhaal) moves in to help the family. Jim Sheridan builds the suspense through long, quiet scenes in the Cahill house, where every phone call and knock at the door carries the weight of what might be lost.
