“What makes a man?”

Darious (Jalyn Hall) is fourteen, out of school for the summer, and still working out what kind of man he is supposed to become. His father Malcolm (Shamier Anderson) runs the house strictly, and the boy's days change when he meets Porter (Trevante Rhodes), a drifter who starts to take an interest in him. Miles Warren puts a boy between two very different men, each with his own idea of what he should learn.
