Martha (Debbie Doebereiner) works the line at a doll factory in a fading Midwestern town, and the younger Kyle (Dustin James Ashley) is the one she spends her breaks with. Steven Soderbergh cast local non-actors and shot on high-definition video, so the work feels flat, quiet and ordinary. Their friendship holds until a murder draws all three workers into one story, and what binds Martha to Kyle starts to carry weight.
