“Swing it!”

Slicker Smith (Bud Abbott) and Herbie Brown (Lou Costello), two small-time hustlers dodging a cop, duck into an Army recruiting office and sign up before they understand what they've signed. The same cop turns up at camp as their drill instructor, and the unit also holds a rich young man and the chauffeur who used to drive him. The two rivals are soon chasing the same girl, Judy Gray (Jane Frazee).
