Bud Abbott and Lou Costello in Hollywood

(1945)Directed by S. Sylvan Simon83 minComedy
“A double-barrelled fun birst!”

A murder is staged on a Hollywood lot, and the corpse is fake. Buzz Kurtis (Bud Abbott) and Abercrombie (Lou Costello), two barbers turned agents, arrange it to win a plum role for Jeff Parker (Bob Haymes), a talented singer nobody has heard of. S. Sylvan Simon keeps the black-and-white frame bright and busy, built for the team's patter and a crowd that came to laugh.
