“Of all the abductions, this one is different.”

Teddy (Jesse Plemons) is certain the woman who runs his town's biggest company is an alien set on destroying Earth, and he wants her to admit it. With his cousin Don (Aidan Delbis), he kidnaps Michelle (Emma Stone), the high-powered CEO, and locks her up to force a confession. Yorgos Lanthimos plays the whole ordeal with a flat, deadpan face, so the absurdity lands without anyone onscreen noticing it.
