“Every year brings a great movie. Every decade a great movie musical!”

Bugsy Malone (Scott Baio) is an all-round nice guy in 1929 New York, caught between two rival gangsters, Fat Sam and Dandy Dan. Alan Parker casts only children and teenagers as the adults, and the splurge gun fires custard instead of bullets. Bugsy falls for Blousey (Florrie Dugger), the singer at Fat Sam's speakeasy, while Tallulah (Jodie Foster) has plans to get him for herself.
