Bullets Over Broadway

“A killer comedy!”

Why would a gangster pay for a Broadway play? Because his girlfriend Olive (Jennifer Tilly), a dreadful actress, has to be cast as a psychiatrist, and young playwright David Shayne (John Cusack) needs the money badly enough to say yes. Soon he is also handling Cheech (Chazz Palminteri), the hitman minding Olive at rehearsals. Woody Allen sets it all in 1920s New York and moves between the backstage bickering and the mob's reach with an easy hand.
