Burden

“Based on the powerful and inspiring true story.”

Mike Burden (Garrett Hedlund) is a Klansman who opens the Redneck Shop and a KKK museum in the small South Carolina town of Laurens. Andrew Heckler, working from a true story, follows him as Judy (Andrea Riseborough), a single mother, becomes part of his life, and Reverend Kennedy (Forest Whitaker) takes a very different interest in him. It is a story about whether a man raised on hatred can be taken in by the people he has spent his life despising.
