Burton and Taylor

Richard Burton (Dominic West) and Elizabeth Taylor (Helena Bonham Carter) were once the most famous married couple in the world, and by 1983 they are two divorced actors going into rehearsal for the play "Private Lives." They are back in a room together, working on a script about a pair of exes who can't leave each other alone. Richard Laxton directs the BBC Four film from William Ivory's script, keeping the camera close on the rehearsal room.
