Bury Me Behind the Baseboard

A small boy gets passed between two households in a Russian city, left with his grandparents while his mother, Mum (Mariya Shukshina), chases her own life. Grandma (Svetlana Kryuchkova) takes charge of him with a fear so total that every window, stranger and outing becomes a danger she has to manage. Sergey Snezhkin keeps us at the boy's height, where the apartment is his whole world and nobody around him will ever say they're sorry.
