Bushido: The Cruel Code of the Samurai

A young salary-man's fiancée tries to take her own life, and he answers by telling her the story of his family. It goes back through generations of samurai ancestors, among them Jirozaemon (Kinnosuke Nakamura), each one serving a cruel lord and giving up wives, children and himself for the man's sake. Tadashi Imai follows the same face through the centuries, and the man telling the story has to face what he has inherited.
