By the Bluest of Seas

Two men, Yussuf (Lev Sverdlin) and Aliosha (Nikolay Kryuchkov), are shipwrecked on an island in the Caspian Sea and pulled out of the water by the members of a fishing collective. They sign on to the boats, and both start courting Maria (Yelena Kuzmina), the young woman who leads the fishermen. Boris Barnet sets up a rivalry between friends, and the longer they stay, the more it puts at risk.
