By the Law

Edith Nelson (Alexandra Khokhlova) is a prospector in the Yukon whose gold-hunting team has already lost two of its own to murder. She and her husband Hans are left guarding the killer, a man named Dennin, until they can hand him to the law. Lev Kuleshov keeps the camera close on the three of them through the long months, and Edith holds on, unsure how much of herself the waiting will take.
